With 320 beds and a team of more than 500 physicians representing over 35 specialties, we offer a range of inpatient and outpatient medical, surgical, and specialty services, including:24-hour emergency room Level III Trauma Center Comprehensive cardiovascular care 30-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)Rio Grande Regional Hospital is currently looking for a Registered Nurse- Open Heart Surgery Responsibilities: · Performs direct patient care for the peri-operative patient with duties related in developing a surgical plan of care throughout the continuum. · Provides supervision for Surgical Tech, anesthesia tech and students. · Part of a team that assists in the entire peri-operative process· Knowledge of peri-operative nursing according to established Operating Room Nursing standards and established policies/procedures.· Ability to problem solve, apply technical skills and function in many aspects of direct surgical/procedural careQualifications: · Minimum one year operating room experience preferred· Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas· BCLS· ACLS and PALS required prior to taking call; not exceeding six months of employment
