We are seeking a Contracts Representative for our offices in Colorado Springs, Colorado location or its San Diego, California location. The location can vary based on the candidate qualifications and interest. The successful candidate must possess a strong business acumen, including the ability to assess risk as well as the ability to analyze both legal and financial conditions. The Contracts Representative, under the general supervision of a Contracts Manager, will directly support the management of various types of contracts to include: Firm-Fixed Price (FFP), Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF), Cost-Plus-Award-Fee (CPAF), Time-and-Materials (T&M), and Indefinite Delivery - Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ). The ability to perform cradle-to-grave contracting activity while being able to work professionally and directly with external and internal customers is essential. Significant internal liaison responsibilities will be required as well as the ability to function in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, the Contracts Representative will negotiate Non-Disclosure Agreements and Teaming Agreements; review contract documents, correspondence, and contract terms and conditions; administer contract changes as well as monitor contract performance to ensure cost and technical objectives are being met. As necessary, the Contracts Representative will recommend appropriate actions to resolve performance difficulties, request amendments or modifications to contracts as required, and assist in proposal preparation and subsequent contract negotiations. Reliance on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals is expected.
Required Skills
A Bachelors Degree. At least 7 years of government contract administration experience. Applicant selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communicative skills, both oral and written, are required. Ability to work with Word, Excel and a variety of electronic database systems is a must. NCMA or related certification is preferred.
