Job description

Brand new Chicago restaurant concept opening next month seeking a craft beer and wine beverage director with at least 3 years of restaurant management experience. 

Cicerone and/or Sommelier certifications is a plus. 

Must have a strong knowledge of craft beer trends, styles and brewing techniques.

Must have strong foundation in wine varietals and districts.

Strong culinary background and global cuisine knowledge recommended.

Candidates must have experience in ALL of the following: serving, bartending and restaurant management

Job roles to include but not limited to:
Establishing Beer and Wine inventories
Maintain distributor relationships
Establish cost worksheets
Create study guides for beverage program, testing materials and train staff
Suggest food and beverage pairings
Establish stocking systems and checklists
Attend multiple weekly meetings
Maintain social media accounts and update POS systems
Place weekly orders
Accept and stock beverage deliveries
Conduct inventories and maintain par books
Be able to expedite, serve and bartend or manage the restaurant at any time.

This full time position is for the craft beer and wine enthusiast with an appreciation for an elevated dining experience and can deliver exceptional customer service.
