Responsibilities:

Pearson's K-12 Sales organization is looking to add a new member to our Specialist team. We are looking for a Specialist with deep knowledge in Literacy, Math, Science, or Humanities to join our sales team. You will partner with other Specialists and share responsibilities in the Northeast & Central Region. We are looking for a self-starter with a passion for K-12 Education and the ability to drive educators (at all levels) to make the right decision regarding learning outcome choices for students and teachers.

You will be responsible for:

+ Achieving revenue targets as a team in the Northeast/Central Region (Focus New England).

+ Developing relationships with key K-12 decision makers within your market segment.

+ Providing customer feedback to sales, product and marketing teams.

+ Providing conference/booth/set up and coverage.

+ Assisting Field AGM’s with school visits, product drop off, and school blitzing.

+ Warehouse/Storage Area support if needed.

As a K-12 Specialist, you will work in partnership with Account General Managers throughout the region as a content specialist supporting the sales process from prospecting to close for Pearson products, services and solutions respective to your portfolio in assigned markets.

Qualifications

+ Deep knowledge and passion for learning in K-12 Education.

+ Academic experience and or training in K-12 Literacy, Math, Science, or Humanities is desirable.

+ Experience in networking with district administrators and decision makers is desirable.

+ Previous experience in selling and servicing in the education market is desirable.

+ College degree or equivalent work experience.



Other skills/knowledge/abilities:

+ Ability to have pointed conversations with school districts in the area of K-12 Literacy and Math

+ Highly skilled in influencing decision makers in the K-12 arena

+ Valid US Driver’s License

+ Ability to stand for long periods of time

+ Ability to lift 30 lbs.
