TRUPANION SALES ASSOCIATE

As a Territory Partner Associate, your effort will help protect the bond between people and their pets, and help secure the brightest possible future for the field of veterinary medicine. Trupanion’s superior Medical Insurance for Dogs and Cats can ensure that pets get the best possible care when sick or injured, and help eliminate economic euthanasia.
We are looking for someone special to assist in building, maintaining and strengthening relationships with veterinary practices in and around Seattle, Everett, and Redmond. A big part of the job is educating veterinary staff about medical insurance for pets, and illustrating the value of insurance for the clinic’s owners and pets. Your presence in the field is the cornerstone of Trupanion’s success, this job is designed for you to capitalize on your talents and drive.
As an outside sales job, your focus is on visiting veterinary hospitals, building relationships, and educating veterinary staff. We provide lots ongoing training and support to ensure our shared success.
Primary job responsibilities include:
Providing education to veterinary clinics and hospitals by speaking about Trupanion’s superior value and the critical importance of medical insurance for pets.
Building on and maintaining good relations with practices by providing courteous, efficient, and professional service
Assisting and guiding veterinary practices in their effort to leverage the Trupanion product for the maximum benefit of their practice, patients and clients
Become knowledgeable about daily operations and best practices at veterinary clinics and hospitals
Qualifications:
Bring an attitude of persistence and patience, along with a high level attention in maintaining and building relationships (MINIMUM 3-5 years’ account management/sales experience)
Be pet passionate and possess a strong belief in our mission to give responsible pet owners the ability to provide the best care for their pet when it becomes sick or injured
Understand the Veterinary Industry, especially within veterinary hospitals (veterinary experience preferred)
Confidence in presenting Trupanion to hospital owners and staff, with a desire to close the deal. Requiring attention to detail and superior time management skills.
Possess strong verbal and written communication and listening skills. Work is done in Microsoft Office (primarily Outlook, Excel, and Word)
Open to one-on-one training and group settings, never afraid to ask questions, and learn things quickly
Interested in being on the road, visiting practices daily. Possess a good driving record and reliable, transportation with evidence of insurance required
