The Knoll Home Design Shop is the newest addition to Knoll, a global residential and office furnishings manufacturer committed to design excellence. Our Core Mission at the Knoll Home Design Shop is to provide exceptional service to all customers through our professional and knowledgeable Retail Sales Team.

POSITION PROFILE:

The Sales Associate is expected to achieve the annual sales objective by providing a luxury experience through product knowledge, design advice, accessibility, seamless follow up, and prospecting for new business, as well as projecting their pipeline of business on a weekly and monthly basis.

Candidate should possess the ability to present, sell, and understand furniture design, upholstery, finishes and simple construction details. Must be sensitive to customer’s needs and wants as it relates to the selling process. Willing to go above and beyond to create a lasting ongoing relationship with their customer.

+ Drive sales through product knowledge and familiarity with Knoll's design heritage and company's reputation of innovative product

+ Able to meet and develop a customer relationship from a simple walk-in, project lead or introduction via team member or other lead source

+ Research and develop opportunities on a daily basis

+ Successfully manage and overcome customer objections

+ Successfully partner with Customer Service to satisfy and delight Knoll’s customers

+ Enter and maintain all customer interaction in salesforce.com to ensure efficient lead management and forecasting

+ Maintain an appropriate level of sales activity at all times by conducting a minimum number of sales contacts per week as designated by manager

+ Monitor market conditions, product innovations and competitors’ products, prices and sales

+ Proficiency in commonly used computer tools such as Microsoft Outlook365 and Office Suite

Required Experience

Required Experience:

+ BS/BA in Design related field of study preferred

+ Requires two to three years’ experience in Retail Furniture Sales, Interior Design or related field

+ History of meeting or exceeding personal and Shop sales goals

+ Identify customer needs and problem solve, to understand and explain product features and benefits

+ Exhibits a work style that is high energy, highly influential, and possesses an ability to effectively close sales opportunities

+ Ability to multi-task and assist more than one customer at a time

+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

+ Proven track record achieving measurable sales goals and willing to accept responsibility for results

+ Ability to build effective interpersonal relationships

+ Excellent communication skills

+ Ability to work with sales reps from the other Knoll divisions

+ Positive and energetic personality

+ Possess an entrepreneurial spirit, with the highest level of integrity
