Expanding HVAC wholesaler is seeking an energetic, customer service focused individual to join our inside sales team. Working knowledge of HVAC equipment is preferred.

The Inside Sales Associate is the frontline sales representative directly responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers. This includes but is not limited to servicing all walk-in and phone customers, demonstrating a working knowledge of the company’s sales & inventory system, managing assigned customer accounts, exhibiting strong industry and product knowledge, troubleshooting customers’ problems and making appropriate recommendations and generally seeking to exceed customers’ expectations in every facet of the sales process.

The Inside Sales Associate position falls within the Sales Department of the company and reports directly to the Store Manager. As such, the Inside Sales Associate will provide support for the showroom merchandising and in-store promotions as well as support daily opening/closing procedures and necessary inventory control operations as directed by the Store Manager.

To be successful in this position, the Inside Sales Associate must demonstrate a working knowledge of the company’s overall operations with specific understanding of the sales process and its impact on customer service. In addition, the successful associate will demonstrate effective communication skills in working with customers and other team members to achieve sales objectives.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

Counter Sales

  • Effectively and efficiently assist walk-in and phone customers in the procurement of repair parts, supplies and equipment.
  • Apply industry and product knowledge to troubleshoot customers’ problems and make recommendations on necessary parts, equipment and supplies.
  • Manage assigned focus accounts to ensure these accounts are receiving exceptional service and meeting projected sales targets.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of order entry, inventory control and operating systems procedures to ensure accurate and efficient processing of all order entry and invoicing transactions.

Monthly Sales Promotions

  • Assist the Store Manager in executing all in store sales promotions, including effectively communicating these programs to customers, to meet monthly sales targets.
  • Demonstrate a working understanding to both the monthly in store and corporate sales fliers, new product announcements and all in store sales specials and promote these events to the customer.

Showroom

  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized showroom including all shelves, floor and wall displays.
  • Ensure that counter displays and work areas are clean, organized and stocked sufficiently.

Inventory & Order Fulfillment

  • Work in conjunction with Counter Support and Warehouse personnel in the fulfillment and staging of customer orders.
  • Assist in maintaining appropriate stock and over stock levels and ensuring inventor is properly organized and in its appropriate place.

Direct Reports: None. Provides oversight and works with the Counter Support position to ensure efficient in store sales process.
