This may be shocking, but Bay City Electric Works (BCEW) is not a support group for a tartan-wearing Scottish pop group. The company distributes new and used generator systems, electric motors, switches, and welding equipment, specializing in Kohler generators and engines. BCEW also rents and leases generators. The company was established in 1932 by Bob and Leola Norris. Tom Claycomb, Wally Dier, and Wilmer Spitzer purchased the assets of BCEW in 1984 and renamed the company CDS Electric, after the initials of their last names. Tom Claycomb acquired all of the company's stock in 1986 and restored the Bay City Electric Works name in 1988. Claycomb sold the company to Mark Loftin (CEO) in 2007.
