Job description

Purpose

Identify high volume OEM sales opportunities for TPC Wire & Cable. Implement a sales plan and ensure attainment of revenue and profit objectives. Responsible for managing and growing customer base, adding new accounts, customer, market penetration and retain existing accounts for sales channel.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Identify OEM high volume opportunities in TPC’s target segments.
  • Develops plans with the VP of Product on an annual basis and as warranted to improve performance to meet sales plan.
  • Generate and present to customers, written quotations and proposals for TPC’s products and services following current pricing and sales policies.
  • Communicates plans, goals and objectives effectively.
  • Manage target account conversions from commitment to cash.
  • Analyze local market information and provide ongoing local market intelligence, monthly sales activity reports, forecasting and ad-hoc feedback.
  • Tracks, monitors and evaluates profitability of new and existing business and directs the pricing decisions to ensure that adequate levels of profitability are maintained.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Key Challenges

  • Develop new OEM markets, enhanced products or new products.
  • Call on and develops the OEM Sales channel both on a direct level and through distributor partners.
  • Manage selling process with engineers and distributors to ensure opportunities exist to achieve or exceed annual sales goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision makers.
  • Maintain balance between good customer relations and credit risks.
  • Maintain updated product knowledge.

Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience to include extensive OEM sales background.
  • Ability to travel 60% of the time.
  • Previous wire and cable product knowledge
  • Proven market and new business development experience.
  • Previous experience utilizing MS Word, Excel, Access and Power Point.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Previous CRM experience.
