Position Overview

Do you love helping your customers save money? Are you passionate about clean, renewable energy sources that will save our world for future generations to come? If you answered YES, consider an exciting opportunity as a Solar Energy Consultant with SunSmart Technologies!

The Solar Energy Consultant is responsible for partnering with and educating customers on the value of clean, renewable solar energy. Solar Consultants are provided leads by the company to help initially grow their portfolio, and it is expected that a successful consultant will also initiate and drive referrals that lead to additional volumes in sales. This position offers a base salary and a competitive commission structure, and earnings are unlimited based on your effort!

Educational resources and training provided upon hire.

Desired Outcomes

  • Daily travel throughout the Kansas City and surrounding area to conduct in-home visits that showcase and sell products and services to customers
  • Deliver an outstanding customer experience by partnering with the customer to identify specific needs and education them on the corresponding benefits of our product
  • Follow and complete established company sales processes
  • Achieve monthly sales goals in a manner that attains results through the highest standards of service, honesty, and integrity
  • Exhibit a sense of resilience, personal ownership and entrepreneurial spirit by continually networking, developing new leads, and building a strong pipeline of personal sales
  • Demonstrate an openness to coaching and feedback while continually learning about the company, products, industry, customers and sales process
  • Attend all sales meetings and complete ongoing training and development as assigned

Experience, Education and Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant outside sales experience with proven progressive sales results, preferred
  • Reliable transportation means, required
  • Flexible work schedule including evening and weekends, required
