Job Responsibilities
Regional US Sales Representative will increase sales and achieve sales goals as defined in the annual operating plan. You will identify, support and develop relationships in your region with public and private water works companies.
In this role, the Sales Representative will generate new business opportunities to fuel the sales pipeline by identifying, qualifying and cultivating new sales leads. You will also demonstrate this equipment live in the field in order to provide the client with proof of concept. Knowledge of technology and equipment so that you can teach/mentor/ask questions is a must.
Essential Functions Include
· Meet and exceed set quarterly sales goals
· Prospect - generate leads through cold calling and other outbound sales activities.
· Get past gatekeepers to decision makers
· Qualify leads including detailed needs analysis, product overview, and potential solution fit.
· Facilitate and manage customer orders as required through the entire sales process
· Traveling frequently to water works prospects within the defined "territory".
· Attend trade shows and other water industry events in area in order to understand market.
· Providing sales support for all qualified new leads and any existing leads assigned.
· Providing miscellaneous field assistance and support to prospects and current customers.
· Providing weekly reporting of sales pipeline and forecast using the Sales automation tool.
· Preparing written presentations, reports, and price quotations.
Requirements
· 2-3 years' total sales experience
· Bachelor's or related degree
· Public speaking skills
· Microsoft Office and CRM experience
· Must reside in the defined territory
Preferred Skills
· Experience selling into municipal, county, and/or state governments
· Water Leaks detection equipment knowledge - Preferred
· Tradeshow experience
· Experience with responding to bids
