This Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for qualifying leads and securing qualified appointments and opportunities within the Legal Research market to generate new revenue. In this role, the Associate Inside Sales Representative will receive training to prepare for the next step in the sales career path. The Associate Inside Sales Representative is expected to complete required training within 6-12 months.
Responsibilities of the Inside Sales Representative:
- Conduct a high volume of outbound telephone calls to prospective customers to identify decision makers and opportunities with the goal of setting an appointment for a field sales representative.
- Work campaigns consisting of pre-qualified calls or cold calls and securing appointments for our sales reps.
- Research and qualify new business opportunities in accordance with approved sales management guidelines.
- Learn and understanding the value proposition of LexisNexis solutions and products and effectively communicating this understanding to prospective customers.
- Ensure client and prospect satisfaction by determining needs and transferring calls to the appropriate party for resolution.
- Update client and prospect information in our CRM systems
- Build profiles of prospective clients using publicly available information.
- Manage sensitive customer and prospect information.
- Field inbound calls from prospective customers generated from targeted marketing programs.
- Track, qualifying and routing leads sent from all channels
- Successfully complete training program.
- Meet all sales and performance objectives including POS, daily phone time, dials per day, etc.
- Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications of the Associate Inside Sales Representative:
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience; Business or Marketing major preferred
- 1-2 years in a professional environment, preferably with direct sales experience. Exp cold calling.
- Recent college grads with sales experience and/or taken a professional sales course encouraged to apply.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office applications (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Experience with CRM (SalesForce) systems is a plus
