Job description

The Branch Trade Sales Representative (TSR) is the primary showroom sales leader and dedicated Trade segment sales representative. The TSR is considered a senior member of the Branch Sales Team. This key role will drive sales volume, maintain/ grow existing accounts, and develop new by assisting with color and product selections for mostly commercial and residential projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create an inviting atmosphere and professional experience for all showroom visitors that reflect and reinforce the Emser brand
  • Work with customers in developing floor plans and design concepts
  • Coordinate sales efforts with Branch sales representatives in the local region
  • Maintain showroom through continual merchandising and rearranging products
  • Create detailed specifications/designs for customers and work with members of the team throughout the quoting process
  • Maintain a broad knowledge of Emsers product line and capabilities
  • Work with Product Development & Marketing teams to consistently communicate business and design trends, consumer and trade attitudes, competitive practices, and product performance characteristics
  • Create accurate order specifications and process orders in a timely manner
  • Keep clients informed of order and delivery statuses
  • Build awareness and relationships throughout the local community that drive business and traffic to the showroom including outbound sales calls
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of Emser operations

Qualifications:

  • Design experience in combination with a successful track record in sales (preferably within the flooring industry)
  • Solid analytical skills in identifying client needs and aligning them to product offerings
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and maintain positive relationships with all Emser clients, customers (internal and external)
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment essential
  • Ability to analyze market conditions and competition and develop strategic responses to opportunities.
  • Must be able to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
  • Listening skills, communication skills, energy, enthusiasm and endurance
  • Must be flexible to maximize business opportunities as they arise
  • Demonstrated expertise in the principles of collaborative sales technique
  • Must have College Degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time and work non-standard hours
