Software Engineer

Responsibilities

· Determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.

· Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.

· Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.

· Improves operations by conducting systems analysis; recommending changes in policies and procedures.

· Updates job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

· Provides scope of work based on requirements provided by Product Management.

· Provides input into the development of UI/UX front-end application using industry best-practices

· Creates wireframes and prototypes when necessary

· Works in a cross functional team to deliver a complete and quality user experience

· Writes clean, well-documented code

Educational Requirements/Certifications

· Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred) or equivalent experience is required

Professional Qualifications

· Minimum of 7 years’ experience developing web-based, client-facing software solutions

· Firm grasp of network architecture, server-side implementation and front-end implementation of websites

· Experience with the following technologies and frameworks:

o Server-side: .NET Framework / .NET Core, ASP.NET Web API, LINQ, Entity Framework, Git, XUnit, SQL, Node.js, Gulp, RabbitMQ, XML, XLS, SOAP, REST

o Client-side: JavaScript, Angular / AngularJS, Angular Material, jQuery, Jasmine, Karma, HTML, CSS, SASS, jQuery

o Experience with TypeScript and ES6 is a plus

· Expertise building and configuring RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Web API

· Experience working in AWS and/or Azure cloud-hosted environments is a plus

· Familiarity with business intelligence and/or data visualization solutions is a plus (i.e. Tableau)

· Working knowledge of relational and dimensional databases

· Firm understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

· Experience using Agile/Scrum development methodology is preferred

· Ability to take UI/UX designs to code rapidly

· Passion for writing simple, clean, and efficient code to deliver a high-quality product to users
