WLAN Software Engineer

Job Overview:

The position is a customer engineering role that will support (from design to mass production) integration of Qualcomm WLAN chipsets into Snapdragon based IoT (Internet of Things) products. This person will help customers with issues found on all layers including WLAN firmware, driver, stack, Android framework and WiFi applications. In addition, this person will provide training to customers or review customer customization design and implementation and support marketing and sales teams to win designs. This person will work closely with worldwide development engineering and product marketing teams. This person should be able to learn new WLAN technology and Qualcomm software implementations very quickly. Travel to customer site and other regional QC offices are needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Familiarity with WLAN protocol and stack - Strong understanding and experience on 802.11a/b/g/n/ac - Debugging skills in embedded environment, Linux driver, WLAN protocol analysis - Good spoken and written English skills - Self-motivated and able to work alone under high pressure - Read technical specifications/requirements - Demonstrate strong problem solving abilities.

- Experience on WLAN development and customization - Experience on Linux device driver - Familiarity with USB/PCI/SDIO buses - Knowledge of processor architectures.

Education:

Required: Bachelor's, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science
