We are currently seeking a As-Built Specialist to join our dynamic Team in the Bay Area supporting a major telecommunications infrastructure project.
Job Summary
The As-Built Specialist supports the General Manager and is responsible for managing and performing the daily activities associated with processing, verifying, and recording all construction redlines and as-builts in accordance with contractual guidelines and industry standards. The ideal candidate has significant experience in the telecommunications industry and strong skills in reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications. Prior experience interacting with both construction and engineering functional areas will be very valuable. Daily work includes communications and process management with the construction teams, quality assurance, document management, engineering and project controls.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· The As-Built Specialist ensures that all actual project changes to the Permit Plans have been recorded on the Field Red-Line Plans;
· Review the Field Red-Line Plans for legibility and accuracy;
· Address any discrepancies, resolve concerns and establish a schedule through engagement with the construction teams;
· Ensure that as-builts include all attributes and that deliverables are provided to the Client within contractual guidelines;
· Upload all completed packages into the document management system in accordance with established processes;
· Manage and maintain tracking of all as-builts to ensure that all work is captured and recorded;
· Serve as liaison between construction, document management, engineering, and project management with regard to validation and completion of all work packages.
REQUIREMENTS
· High School diploma;
· 3 + years’ experience working with construction red-lines and conversion to as-builts;
· Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specs and related documents;
· Working knowledge of engineering practices, designs and standards pertaining to infrastructure projects;
· Ability to utilize external database systems;
· Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing;
· Computer literate, knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel and Power Point), SharePoint and Adobe;
· Proven history of working in a cross-functional environment providing accurate data to team members to ensure forecasted project compliance and reporting’
· Must be self-motivated with a proactive approach to working with diverse teams.
PREFERENCES
· MasTec prefers, but does not require, that candidates have experience in the local area
