Lead Technician

LEAD SET UP                                                                Hourly

Reports to Production Supervisor

 

Primary Purpose and Function:

To facilitate a work team in the effort to meet and exceed requirements/goals pertaining to:

·       Productivity

·       Scrap and waste

·       Product quality

·       Equipment maintenance

·       Safety

·       Housekeeping

·       Production Reporting

·       Team Building

Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Must be able to complete daily production records

·       Check product quality and ensure it meets guidelines and goals

·       Set up and change over all machines

·       Maintain and service all machines to ensure proper running condition, including insurance of preventive maintenance

·       Operate, adjust and trouble-shoot all machines to meet or exceed production standards

·       Maintain a clean and safe work area

·       Perform safety audits

·       Train new associates to the extent that they meet or exceed job requirements

·       Work overtime and shifts required to meet customer expectations (on short notice)

·       Must be able to understand and follow work orders, including the allocation and return of all materials

·       Must have personal tools to do required repairs and adjustments

·       Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Essential Functions:

·       Must have high school diploma or equivalent

·       Must have excellent interpersonal skills

·       Must be able to work in a team environment and facilitate a team meeting

·       Must abide by and support all company policies and procedures

·       Must be able to interface with management and co-workers to effectively perform duties and responsibilities

·       Must be able to be on feet the entire shift

·       Must be able to frequently lift 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 230 lbs. with assistance

·       Must be able to grab, push and pull

·       Must be able to bend, squat, climb and reach above shoulder level

·       Exposed to dust and moving machinery
